The GM Climate Series - Introductory Episode on 'Global Drylands'
The GM Climate Series under the GM- Environmental Education Network (GMEEN) focuses on Climate Risks and Disasters. Climate change challenges and an increased climatic variability, consequently caused drought to remain a constant hazard. Mr. Hatibu Ghaamid Abdulbasat intorduced an Episod on Global Drylands. Since Drylands are home to more than 40% of the world's population and are one of the most sensitive areas to climate change and human activities. In this first Episode "Introductory Episode on 'Global Drylands'" which describes recent status of 'Desertification' that facing the current world of today and it's intensity which increases in day to day that is largely contributed by Human activities.
Mr. Hatibu Ghaamid Abdulbasat is a second year student pursuing BSc. Environmental Sciences and Management in the Solomon Mahlangu College of Science and Education (SMCoSE) at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). Kindly join him in his series Episodes "GMclimateseries" to have a knowledge on desertification and ways of combating it. GMEEN believe in spreading Environmental awareness for the better sustainability of the future generations.
